Where Do You Turn
in an Emergency?

  • Who has the only pediatric emergency department in the state?
  • Who treats 16,000 children a year for emergencies?
  • Who has a team of board certified pediatric emergency medicine physicians?

Kapi‘olani’s Pediatric Emergency Department
We’re open 24 hours a day, with a dedicated pediatric team focused on one goal: quickly diagnosing and treating a full range of medical conditions in babies, children and teens. We treat anything from rare infections to fractures and sports injuries, and everything in between. (We also have adult emergency physicians for moms and dads.)

As parents, it’s difficult to know how serious your child’s illness or injury may be. So it’s comforting to know that if your daughter requires more than a few stitches, Kapi‘olani has immediate access to pediatric specialists, including surgeons, intensivists and radiologists. Kapi‘olani also has the only pediatric emergency transport team in Hawaii. When your child or teen faces an unexpected health crisis, turn to the specialists in pediatric emergencies.
